Our Story

The Origins

Rainy summer days at our grandmother's house meant only one thing...it was time to make Nana's Meringue!

She would sit us around a small glass table in the middle of her kitchen and hand one of us a fork and a bowl filled with egg whites. We would take turns beating the egg whites, adding the sugar little by little, until it turned into a foam.

When our little hands would get tired, we would pass the bowl around to the next one. It was like watching a miracle happen right before our eyes as the egg whites whipped up into a sweet, beautiful, white cloud.

Whether we would enjoy this sweet meringue right out of the bowl or spoon some out and roast it on her gas stove, there was nothing like Nana's Meringue!

How The Lightbulb Went Off...

My husband and I are local Floridians, both born and raised in Miami. One day, while having lunch with our two children at Havana Harry’s, we ordered tres leches for dessert. As we were eating, my husband suddenly exclaimed, “Can you imagine if we had a can right now and could just go ‘ssshhh…’ssshhh…’ and out would come meringue!” We all thought such a thing must already exist. So, we took out our phones and started googling. However, we couldn’t find anything like it... because it didn't exist. That’s when our idea was born. My husband knew that I had grown up making batches of meringue with my grandmother and that I loved making it at home. In fact, I had developed a reputation among my friends for making really good merenguitos. So, combining his innovative idea with my recipe, and, of course, investing lots of time and money, we invented Nana’s Meringue—a ready-to-use meringue in an aerosol can!

It hadn’t existed anywhere in the world until now. It's genuine meringue dispensed from a can. It can be used as a topping on drinks, like lattes for instance. You can enjoy it with fruit, use it as a topping for waffles and pancakes, or even as frosting on a cupcake. The meringue can also be sprayed on a cookie sheet and baked in the oven to make little meringue cookies. And it tastes wonderful when toasted. Its potential uses are limitless. Plus, it’s dairy-free, gluten-free, and fat-free!
